REACH is a systems-linkage approach to supports and is an acronym for _Regional Education Assessment Crisis Services Habilitation_. The individuals who benefit from REACH have intellectual disability and mental health diagnosis or challenging behavior that is negatively affecting their quality of life. The underlying philosophy of REACH is that services will be most effective when everyone involved in supports and treatment is allowed to participate actively in treatment planning and service decisions. In order for this to occur, collaboration between service providers and with service users is needed.
This position works as part of the REACH Residential and Community Crisis Teams to provide relief crisis stabilization and crisis prevention supports. Works as part of the team to ensure all Medicaid and DBHDS Licensure standards are maintained. Also helps ensure program's daily documentation is complete and accurate. Schedule is flexible but must be available to work weekend and evening hours.
Education and/or experience in a field that demonstrates the ability to perform the assigned tasks; Graduation from an accredited university with at least a Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, special education or a related human services field is required. At least one year of experience providing supports to children and/or adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or co-occurring intellectual disabilities and mental illnesses is required. Experience in a community based setting is preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required. NRVCS Medication Administration Certification is required. Certification in CPR and First Aid are required (training provided). Must have an acceptable driving record.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
