Summary:
Responsible for registering UPG products, suppliers, and manufacturing facilities in countries which require registrations before product can be sold in their country. After the registrations are obtained, they will belong to UPG.
Primary duties and
Responsibilities:
Identify government regulations for registering products in various countries.
Collect information required to register products from other UPG departments (Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, etc.).
Complete required Registration forms.
Submit registrations to government agencies using consultants in each country who have access to the proper administrative offices.
Interface with, and make full use of, Legal Department and outside consultants with regard to compliance issues.
Interface with the marketing and product managers with regards to product registration requirements and future plans for new or existing products.
Communicate well with distributors and customs agents regarding all issues related to export product registration.
Maintain current USDA export permits.
Facilitate communication between customs agents and UPG when issues arise with shipments for export. Work with customer service as needed to resolve issues. Provide and/or obtain documents required to clear shipments through customs, i.e. Quality Control Certificates, Technical Sheets, Health Certificates, Certificates of Free Sale, etc.
Maintain and update Aphis registrations.
Required Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including documentation skills.
Ability to communicate with other UPG departments to obtain required information.
Ability to work independently in areas which require research and making new connections.
Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred
Required Experience
Bachelor''s degree in a science related field or equivalent experience in the field of science, regulatory or quality.
Regulatory experience preferred.
