The Department of Biomedical Sciences & Pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine has a Postdoctoral Associate position available. The candidate is expected to work independently in a molecular virology laboratory on a research project studying the molecular mechanisms of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus and porcine deltacoronavirus replication, pathogenesis, and vaccine development. The candidate will study the structural and functional relationship of PEDV and PDCoV genes and mechanisms of viral pathogenesis, and develop candidate vaccines against these pathogens. The candidate is expected to have good communication skills and is expected to provide some training for graduate and undergraduate students.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
