Job Description:
The Business Development Project Manager will lead technology transition projects to enable our clients to secure new R&D funding and transition new technologies to commercial products.
These projects involve building out new networks of contacts, conducting market study research, competitive analysis, and identifying new funding opportunities.
The Business Development Project Manager will interface with clients to determine specific applications for their technology and to identify target markets.
The types of technology that the Business Development Project Manager will support will include, but not be limited to, advanced manufacturing, sensors, renewable energy, communications, software, advanced materials, and other energy, defense, and space-related technologies.
In-depth knowledge of these technical sectors is not required.
However, a technical background, and creative approach, that enables the Business Development Project Manager to match new technologies to relevant applications is critical.
Specific responsibilities include:
Manage all aspects of technology transfer projects, including budget, schedule, performance, etc.
Interface with clients to determine specific needs and gain an understanding of their technologies.
Define and delegate market research to determine entry points for selected technologies.
Develop and build a contact database of principals within selected target markets.
Define and delegate competitive analysis to determine the market niche.
Find funding opportunities for client technologies.
Maintain superior client satisfaction.
Develop and launch new marketing/business development campaigns.
Compensation:
Compensation will be dependent on the candidate's skills and experience.
