The Intensive Program Clinician I or II, provides direct interventions to individuals with serious emotional disturbance who may be at risk of self-harm, harming others, and/or who may be expelled from school or sent to a psychiatric or residential facility, foster home, or hospital.
Job duties include providing temporary, intensive services to avert emergency psychiatric hospitalization, institutional admissions, or out-of-home placement.
Services are provided primarily to clients, but may include services to families/care givers as well.
Provides supportive counseling, individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, assessment, Individual Service Plan (ISP) development, psycho-education, and referrals to youth and their families/care givers.
Develops and maintains working relationships with individuals served, families and/or caregivers, other NRVCS programs, and other community agencies and resources as needed to ensure quality care.
Works as part of the KPACT treatment team to ensure services and resources are coordinated among providers as needed to help youth served live and function optimally in the community.
Qualifications:
Clinician I:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work or other license-eligible human services related field is required.
At least one year clinical experience working with youth who have serious mental illness, substance related and/or developmental disability is desired.
If applicant has active QMHP-C status, a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or human services related field with additional experience in a setting working with children and adolescents with emotional disturbance and/or substance use and/or developmental disorders may be considered.
Must possess a valid driver's license (state of Virginia, unless otherwise approved by agency) with an acceptable driving record.
Must maintain acceptable record throughout employment.
Clinician II:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work or other license-eligible human services related field is required.
State of Virginia license required in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family or other related field.
At least one year clinical experience working with youth who have serious mental illness, substance related and/or developmental disability is desired.
Must possess a valid driver's license (state of Virginia, unless otherwise approved by agency) with an acceptable driving record.
Must maintain acceptable record throughout employment.
SALARY &

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
